The V20 is our primary platform for presenting the work of the movement and organisations like EHV and others help by providing values-based insights to the G20 engagement groups, specifically Values 20.

Growth and opportunity set to be at the heart of UK-hosted G20

MESH, the IWG, Tarakin Global, EHV and World Values Day has started working on a paper that looks specifically at what the values have influenced global health and education policy through networks like the Commonwealth and NATO. The discussion paper, concept note and summary invitation to share with potential contributors are available to download using the links below.

G20 2026 USA
The U.S. will be focusing on practical reforms that support economic expansion while respecting national sovereignty and policy independence.
As America celebrates its 250th anniversary, it will also host the 2026 G20, in the city of Miami.

Holding the Ground: Values for a Shared Future
The V20 USA Engagement Groups is being organised by te Global Philanthropy Forum.
The The theme of V20 this year is “Holding the Ground: Values for a Shared Future,” where discussions will primarily focus across three primary cross-cutting themes, each of which will have three subgroups:
- What Holds
- What Is Shifting
- What Needs to be Navigated

G20 Values 20 Summit, Cape Town, South Africa
The Values 20 Summit 2025 brings together global leaders, policymakers, academics, and practitioners to advance a values-driven approach to shaping societies.
Led by Dr Bettina Baubeng-Baidoo, IWG, the MESH team has drafted the Health Chapter of the G20 Values 20 Communiqué. This builds on the pre-Summit discussion that took place on 8th October (details below).
The full communiqué, including the recommendation and proposed solutions made by Dr Baubeng-Baidoo will be discussed formally at this Summit and published here after the event.

Pre-G20 Values 20 Virtual Summit
This virtual summit brought together global experts and healthcare activist from the Collaboration Centre for Values Based Practice, the Mental Health Innovation Network, SECTION 27 and the University of Pretoria.
With a focus on South Africa, as the host country for the G20 2025, the Summit reviewed the report and recommendations being presented to officials at the main summit, and reviewed the devastating case history of Life Esidimeni, which saw 144 people die as a result of non-values based policy implementation.

Past G20 Values 20 Summits
At the G20 Summits in past year, Indonesia 2022, India 2023 and Brazil 2024, the MESH movement was taking shape. Building on the key themes and perceptions of values on a geo-political level, a selection of proactive World Values Day members decided to put their heads together.
The article, in the G20 Values 20 Magazine, written by Katrina Ramage, was the first step towards forming MESH.
