Professional biography

Katrina Ramage is a values-based strategist and social regeneration advocate currently based in Tauranga, Aotearoa New Zealand. Born in Scotland, she spent over two decades in London working across government and communications, including at the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister as head of Thames Gateway Stakeholder Engagement and Communications and UK Cabinet Office as Head of Strategy within the Government Policy Unit. Her early career focused on leadership development, stakeholder engagement, and strategic communications across public, private, and civil sectors.

Katrina is Global Ambassador for World Values Day, an international movement promoting values-led action, reflection, and community renewal. Her public speaking and facilitation work emphasise reconnecting people and organisations with their core values as a foundation for wellbeing, productivity, and social cohesion. As part of the G20 South Africa 2025 Values 20 Summit, and in collaboration with the IWG and EHV, she is providing strategic direction for the creation and launch of the Movement for Equality and Sustainability in Health (MESH), which will continue to report to G20 summits in future including America 2026.

She is the Director of Tarakin Global Ltd, a now New Zealand-based policy advisory and research enterprise that supports values-driven governance, investment, and social innovation. Through Tarakin Global, Katrina has authored reports such as Invest New Zealand, outlining frameworks for inclusive economic development and ethical investment. She is currently drafting a report on new economics systems based on values and Strategic Social Investment.

Previously, she founded The Eye of the Storm (TEotS), a London-based social enterprise designed to create alternative employment and learning pathways for individuals marginalised by traditional education and labour systems. The initiative ran successfully for four years, supporting thousands of participants through its community-based approach and got hundreds back into work.

Katrina’s professional philosophy centres on social regeneration, ethical leadership, and values in practice. Her original tools — including the Tarakin Prioritisation Framework, SMART V.A.L.U.E.S framework and Values in Practice (ViP) Awards — have been used internationally to help organisations translate their stated principles into measurable behaviour and impact.

Active on global platforms including LinkedIn, YouTube, and World Values Day, Katrina continues to advocate for community participation, participatory democracy, and values-led transformation in governance and business.
